Terms

Last updated 14 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Music Master 3000, a free web app for learning bass and training your ears. By using it you agree to them. They're written to be read, so they're short.

Using the app

The app is free. You can use it without an account, or create one to sync your progress between devices. If you're under 13, please use it only with a parent's or guardian's permission. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian should read these terms with you.

Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account.

Fair use

Please don't:

Your content

Licks, tunes, practice plans and other things you make in the app are yours. We store them only to run the app for you, as set out in the privacy policy.

If you choose to suggest something for the shared library, you confirm it's your own work (or that you have the right to share it), and you give us a free, worldwide, permanent licence to use, edit and publish it in the app. We may decide not to use it.

Only open audio files in the transcription helper that you have the right to use. They stay on your device.

Our content

The books, exercises, lines, text, recordings and design of the app belong to Music Master 3000. You may use them for your own learning and practice, including playing them in lessons and performances. Please don't copy or republish them in bulk. Song titles mentioned in the app are used to identify chord progressions only; the songs belong to their owners.

Practise safely

Take breaks, keep the volume at a comfortable level, and stop if your hands, wrists or ears hurt. The app teaches music; it isn't medical advice.

The service

We work hard to keep the app running and accurate, but it's provided as it is and as available. Features may change or be removed, and the app may sometimes be unavailable. Pitch detection and grading are aids to practice and may occasionally get a note wrong.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time in Settings.

Your rights under consumer law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under consumer laws that apply where you live, that can't lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that: because the app is free, to the extent the law allows we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app, and our total liability to you for anything to do with the app is limited to AUD $50.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and if the change matters we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the app afterwards, the new terms apply.

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts there can hear any dispute, without taking away the protection of the consumer laws where you live.
